DIAZ DAVIS is an experiential creative studio that transforms brands through a combination of art, science, psychology and commercial strategy. We don’t just build brands that work. We build brands that feel.

Created by Argentinian-born Mages Ruiz Diaz and Melbourne native Emma J Davis, DIAZ DAVIS takes a considered, analytical approach to branding. We ask difficult questions. We design for the senses. We use strategy, psychology and insight to inform commercial decision making. It’s a combination of head and heart, logic and creativity.

By digging down to the heart of things, we can find that spark of difference, that subtle feeling, which connects a brand to its audience. At its core, branding is a simple equation. Discover who you are – then get people to believe in it.

Emma is connected to the materiality of the world around us, and uses aesthetics to build brand loyalty, connection and awareness.

For the past 15 years, Emma J Davis has helped some of Australia’s biggest retail, hospitality and beauty brands hone their visual style.

Emma’s career has seen her manage transformative, multi-disciplinary projects for Aēsop, Godiva Chocolates, Koko Black and Medibank Private. She is the eye of DIAZ DAVIS. The visual storyteller.

Mages Ruiz Diaz

Mages is the analytical thinker. It’s Mages’ job to ask difficult questions, cut through the noise, and bring complex ideas to life.

Born in Argentina, brand strategist Mages Ruiz Diaz has a track record of creating transformative experiences and programming for brands, organisations, festivals and private clients.

Mages’ portfolio includes brands like TEDx Melbourne, Work Club and Pausefest, along with production and event marketing for Google, Kraft and Ford. She is the brain of DIAZ DAVIS.

Studio projects

Along with our branding and strategy work, we also curate various live events, experiences and installations. These events are an extension of our studio philosophy. An exploration of interactive, multi-sensory design. It’s where we test ideas, ask questions, and push boundaries.

Sensory Experiments

A fully immersive, multi-sensory experience, curated by us for Melbourne Design Week. Sensory Experiments was part live event, part digital journey. It was brought to life by more than 30 of Melbourne’s most famous creatives, including Arup, Hattie Malloy, More Studio, Chelsea Evans, and many others. Read our case study to learn more.
